1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, activating, or using the LensLoop device (“Unit”) or the LensLoop web or mobile applications (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Unit or Platform.
2. About LensLoop
LensLoop is a sustainability-focused contact lens recycling system that includes: a smart home Unit for collecting blister packs, foil lids, and lenses; software for monitoring recycling activity; and data services to measure and improve environmental impact.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use LensLoop. By creating an account, you affirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Use of the LensLoop Device
The LensLoop Unit is intended solely for personal household use. You agree not to tamper with the Unit, modify its hardware or firmware, misuse the recycling system, or use the Unit in any unlawful manner. LensLoop may disable or deactivate Units used in violation of these Terms.
5. Account Registration
To use the Platform, you must create an account and provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.
6. Data Collection & Use
LensLoop collects device data, usage statistics, and account information to operate, support, and improve the service. This includes device identifiers, recycling activity, firmware performance, error logs, and connectivity data.
LensLoop may also use aggregated, anonymized data to evaluate overall recycling effectiveness, generate sustainability reports, and improve recycling programs. No personally identifiable information is shared in these reports.
7. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the LensLoop Privacy Policy. LensLoop does not sell personal information and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to protect user data.
8. User Responsibilities
You agree not to misuse the Unit or Platform, artificially inflate recycling activity, interfere with data collection, or attempt to exploit or circumvent the service. Fraudulent activity or system manipulation is strictly prohibited.
9. Abuse, Fraud, or Misuse
LensLoop enforces a zero-tolerance policy for abuse of the system. Examples include tampering with the Unit, submitting false data, reverse-engineering the device, or interfering with system operations. Violations may result in immediate account termination, device deactivation, removal of fraudulent data, or notification of relevant authorities.
10. Device Updates
The LensLoop Unit may receive periodic firmware updates. By using the Unit, you consent to automatic updates that enhance functionality, security, or performance.
11. Service Availability
LensLoop aims to maintain reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, network issues, third-party outages, or hardware problems may affect performance. LensLoop is not liable for service interruptions.
12. Limitation of Liability
LensLoop is not responsible for damages arising from misuse of the Unit, loss of data, unauthorized access to your account, or indirect or consequential damages. Your use of the device and Platform is at your own risk.
13. Termination
LensLoop may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, misuse of the Unit or Platform, fraud, or if required by law. You may stop using the service at any time by deactivating your account.
14. Changes to These Terms
LensLoop may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Unit or Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2.2. Device & Technical Data
The LensLoop Unit may automatically collect device identifiers, firmware versions, system logs, connectivity information, error events, and recycling activity (such as the number of items deposited).
2.3. IP Address Collection
When you access the Platform or connect the Unit to the internet, your IP address may be collected to support authentication, security, diagnostics, and service integrity.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the Unit, provide Platform services, verify your account, support customer service requests, improve device performance, and analyze recycling activity.
3.1. Aggregated & Anonymous Reporting
LensLoop may use aggregated and anonymized data to measure sustainability performance, illustrate the success of recycling programs, and produce impact reports for retailers, brands, partners, and community stakeholders. These reports never include information that personally identifies you.
3.2. No Sale of Personal Information
LensLoop does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is used only for providing and improving the LensLoop service.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. While no system is completely secure, LensLoop employs industry-standard practices to maintain data protection.

We may share data with third-party processors that support Platform operations, such as cloud hosting providers or analytics services. These partners are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it for the specific purpose of supporting LensLoop.
We may also share anonymous, aggregated impact metrics with recycling partners, manufacturers, or sustainability organizations, but never personal or identifiable user information.
6. Your Choices & Rights
You may update your account information, adjust notification preferences, or delete your account at any time. Deleting your account may remove or anonymize personal data stored in the Platform, except where retention is required by law or for system integrity.
7. Use by Minors
LensLoop may be used by contact lens wearers of all ages. We do not sell personal information collected from any user, regardless of age. For users under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian should review and approve the use of the LensLoop Platform and the creation of an account.
Any personal data collected from minors is used solely for the operation of the LensLoop service, and is handled with the same level of protection, privacy, and security applied to all users.
8. Changes to This Policy
